Assess your bladder health:

• Do you leak when exercising?
• Do you leak when you cough or sneeze?
• Do you leak when trying to make it to the toilet?
• Do you visit the toilet more than 6 or 8 times per day?
• Do you get up more than once at night?
• Do you frequently need to empty your bladder despite it not being full?

Different types of incontinence:

Stress incontinence
This is the most common type of incontinence and occurs when urine leaks from the bladder. Activities such as sneezing, coughing, sexual intercourse or playing sport, put pressure on the muscles of the pelvic floor. These muscles can also be weakened by obesity and constipation.

Urge incontinence
Urge incontinence is when you realize that you've got to go to the toilet but are unable to make it time.

Mixed incontinence
This occurs when both stress and urge incontinence are present together.

Faecal incontinence
The leaking of stool.
